A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) is a professional who specializes in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Their primary responsibilities include assessing individuals’ behavior, designing and implementing behavior intervention plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. BCBA works with a variety of populations, including individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral challenges. They collaborate with clients, families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and oversee treatment programs that promote positive behavior change and improve quality of life. Additionally, BCBAs provide supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) to ensure the highest standards of care and ethical practice within the field of ABA therapy.
